Day 14: Lake Ohrid
The whole of Lake Ohrid, its surrounds, and the old town of Ohrid itself are designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is situated in the south-western corner of Macedonia. About one-third of the western lakeshore is Albania.
We found a superb campsite on the south-eastern side of the Lake Ohrid. We had wonderful views of the Lake from our tent, and were looking across at Albania.

We visitied the amazing Sveti Naum monastery, a few Kms from our campsite just on the Albanian border. Very beautiful, with peacocks on the roof, and stunning icons.

With sunsets like these, who would ever want to leave?!
